IMGP5458: Dehesa, Spain's savanna grassland
Montfraguë National Park, Extremadura:Much of western Spain is covered in this landscape of oaks, usually holm (Quercus ilex) and cork (Quercus suber). It's used to graze fighting bulls and Iberico pigs that eat acornsin the autumn. Their tender,marbled meat becomes the prized Iberico ham for which Spain is famous.
